We are seeking a Business Valuation Manager to join our Business Valuation Services Team based in our Providence office on a flexible hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare valuations of closely held business entities, including common stock, gift and estate valuations, shareholder buy-outs, and purchase and sale transactions, often in support of tax compliance and planning engagements.
- Support tax-related matters through valuation analyses, including estate and gift tax reporting, transaction structuring, and coordination with tax professionals on complex client scenarios.
- Exposure to financial reporting valuations is a plus, including:
- Business combinations (purchase price allocations), including valuation of intangible assets
- Goodwill and long-lived asset impairment analyses
- Inventory, deferred revenue, and contingent consideration assessments
- Debt and equity component analyses
- Perform financial analysis, modeling, and industry research to support valuation conclusions and client deliverables.
- Support 409A valuations and purchase price allocations
- Advise clients on business planning, strategic investments, and other financial objectives, including implications from both a valuation and tax perspective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5 years of business valuation experience (public accounting or valuation firm)
- CPA required; ABV, ASA, CVA, or CFA preferred
- Public Accounting Tax experience (3–5 years) a plus
- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies (income, market, and asset approaches)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong written communication skills with experience preparing valuation reports and client deliverables
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with tax and accounting technology; experience with CCH Axcess, SurePrep, and XCM is preferred

Pay Range:
The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range do not include benefits and bonus potential, and are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00
