Praxis Title & Escrow, a division of Darrow Everett LLP, is growing in the South Florida market and seeking a Senior Escrow Officer to join its team. The company has written over $1 Billion in title insurance, with a focus on commercial real estate - handling multi-property and multi-state closings across asset types such as retail, land, mixed-use, multi-family, and office properties.
Position Overview:
The Senior Escrow Officer will serve as a key leader within the escrow and closing operations, overseeing complex commercial real estate transactions and providing guidance to escrow staff. This role requires significant title industry experience, gained through a national title insurer or title agency, with a strong focus on commercial transactions. Working closely with attorneys, lenders, clients, and internal stakeholders, the Senior Escrow Officer will ensure seamless closings while upholding Praxis’s commitment to responsiveness and best-in-class client service. Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and close complex commercial real estate transactions, including land, retail, office, industrial, and multi-property portfolio deals.
- Oversee, mentor, and support escrow officers, assistants, and staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all escrow processes.
- Prepare, review, and finalize settlement statements, disbursement schedules, and all closing documentation, maintaining accountability for escrow files and records.
- Coordinate with Praxis Title Attorneys and internal finance partners to resolve complex title issues, reconcile accounts, safeguard escrow funds, and ensure accurate disbursement and premium remittance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for high-value clients while contributing to the development and implementation of improved workflows, policies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in the title industry, with a focus on escrow and closing.
- Background working for either a national title insurer or a title agency.
- Experience managing complex commercial real estate transactions - including refinancings, acquisitions, development projects, and multi-state portfolios - with deep knowledge of title, escrow, and closing regulations, procedures, and best practices.
