KLR Executive Search Group is pleased to partner with Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD (CCK), a mission-driven Public Interest law firm specializing in Veterans Law, long-term disability, ERISA, and Bequest Management. CCK is hiring its first Controller to lead the accounting function and support the firm’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full accounting cycle and monthly/quarterly/year-end close.
- Prepare accurate GAAP financial statements and provide performance insights.
- Lead technical accounting areas (revenue recognition, leases, memos).
- Serve as primary contact for audits and external reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and maintain accounting policies.
- Mentor accounting team members and support collaboration.
- Improve processes and optimize accounting systems.
Qualifications
- Five years in public accounting or public/private mix; professional services a plus.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, and internal controls experience.
- Advanced Excel ERP proficiency.
- Technical accounting and memo-writing expertise.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- CPA required; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting/Finance.
Compensation & Benefits
- $150K–$200K salary, based on experience.
