Praxis Title & Escrow is growing and seeking a Mid-Level Escrow Officer to join its team. The company has written over $1 billion in title insurance, with a focus on commercial real estate, handling multi-property and multi-state closings across asset types such as retail, land, mixed-use, multifamily, and office properties. This is a hybrid position based in the Orlando, Florida area.
Position Overview:
The Escrow Officer will support commercial real estate transactions from opening through closing, working closely with attorneys, lenders, clients, title professionals, and internal stakeholders to ensure an efficient and seamless process. This role requires strong title industry experience, gained through a national title insurer or title agency, with a focus on commercial transactions and multi-state closings. The Escrow Officer will be responsible for coordinating transaction details, reviewing documentation, addressing title and escrow requirements, and helping ensure closings are completed accurately and on schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial real estate escrow files from opening through closing, including land, retail, office, industrial, and multi-property transactions.
- Coordinate with escrow staff, attorneys, lenders, clients, and other parties to help ensure transactions remain accurate, organized, and on schedule.
- Prepare and review settlement statements, disbursement schedules, closing documents, and related escrow records.
- Work with Praxis Title Attorneys and internal finance partners to address title issues, reconcile accounts, safeguard escrow funds, and support accurate disbursements and premium remittance.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and transaction parties while maintaining responsive communication and supporting efficient escrow and closing processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in the title industry, with a focus on escrow and closing.
- Background working for either a national title insurer or a title agency.
- Experience managing complex commercial real estate transactions - including refinancings, acquisitions, development projects, and multi-state portfolios - with deep knowledge of title, escrow, and closing regulations, procedures, and best practices.
