Duties
- Efficiently pick and assemble customer orders using RF scanners and
pick systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and load & unload machinery safely following OSHA standards
- Manage shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks with heavy lifting equipment and verifying shipment contents
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update order statuses, and maintain precise records
- Conduct materials handling tasks including stacking, palletizing, and organizing products within the warehouse for optimal space utilization
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures
- Support warehouse supervisor with inventory counts, quality checks, and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, RF scanners, and pallet jacks confidently and safely
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to warehouse machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments
- Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software for inventory control
- Effective order picker skills combined with heavy lifting capabilities for demanding tasks
- Knowledge of construction or heavy equipment operation is a plus for handling specialized machinery
- Warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership potential or team coordination roles
