Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to deliver consistent quality.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety standards, proper handling techniques, and efficient workflow processes.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas.
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks, and maintaining smooth daily operations.
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Support catering events, banquet services, or special functions as needed to enhance customer experience.
- Promote a positive team environment through effective leadership in hospitality management and team management practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with skills in team leadership and staff training & development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations; certification preferred.
- Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within a food service operation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shift schedules effectively in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality management and culinary excellence.
- Previous hotel or bar experience is a plus; culinary or catering background highly desirable.
- Ability to lead by example in managing hospitality teams while fostering a positive work environment.
