Description:
The Quality Engineer Technician (QET) will be responsible for directly supporting the Quality Engineering, QC, Process Engineering, and Production teams. The QET will assist and occasionally lead project-based Quality activities. This position reports directly to the Rural Retreat Site Quality Manager.
Required Skills
- Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Proficient with general mathematical computation (multiplication, division, rates, percentages, averages, standard deviation, relative standard deviation)
- Problem solving techniques (A3, 8D, fishbone diagram, Why-analysis, DMAIC)
- Provide verbal and written communication to engineering and management teams (email, presentations, reports)
- Self-directed time management
- Familiar with using sensitive laboratory instruments and working in a laboratory setting
- Familiar with ISO 9001:2015
Responsibilities Include:
- Complaint investigations (preliminary data collection)
- Sample evaluation
- Sample organization, labeling, storage
- Production history review
- Report investigation results to QE
- Quality Engineering Support (Production processes)
- Process quality investigations and data collection
- Validation/Trial sampling and testing
- Execute data collection/sampling plans for QE projects
- Measurement system analysis
- Basic data analysis and summarization
- Quality Engineering Support (QMS)
- Audit support (e.g., gather requested documents/records, pre-audit prep of production areas)
- Document updates
- QC Lab Support
- Complex/Advanced laboratory testing
- Address in-process quality failures (may require ad hoc QE oversight)
- Calibrated tool recall/failure investigation
- Support normal operations when QC personnel are absent, or workload surges occur

· Education and/or Experience:
· Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Green Belt/Six Sigma Certification preferred
