Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm (Monday - Thursday) 7:00am-11:00am (Friday)

Compensation

• Base Pay: $24.66/hr
• Sign on Bonus $1.22/hr
• Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment ($7.5 Million in Profits Paid to Profit Sharing Pool in 2024)

What We Are Looking For

We’re now hiring a Day Shift Logistics Coordinator who will work closely with the whole KCC leadership team but largely our Warehouse Manager and Director of Order Fulfillment. You will be responsible for arranging and overseeing all incoming ingredients, packaging, and equipment. This position is also responsible for overseeing outgoing shipments and customer pickups of finished goods along with finding the best possible freight rates for Kenny’s Candy and Confections.

Essential Duties

• Overseeing and arranging outgoing shipments and pick-ups of all finished goods, raw materials, packaging, or point of sale displays.
• Overseeing and arranging transportation of all raw materials, packaging, machinery, and anything else that needs to be transported on KCC’s behalf.
• Quotes freight rates on all incoming and outgoing loads to ensure best combination of cost, quality and delivery.
• Review carriers; conduct meetings with sales representatives, and research online websites for the best possible freight rates for less than full load (LTL) and full load carriers
• Sign off on carrier invoices to ensure Kenny’s is being charged correctly for all loads.
• Maintain updated freight spreadsheets to key less than full load (LTL) and full load locations.
• Keeps warehouse SOPs, processes, and training documented and up to date.
• Communicate updates, policies and procedures, period end results, complaints, and carrier information to warehouse personnel and office staff as necessary.
• File all freight claims in a timely manner, keep freight claim spreadsheet updated.
• Prepare period end freight estimates for Accounting as required.
• Is responsible for keeping KCC trucks and trailers registered, documented and maintained appropriately.
• All other duties as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Knowledge of warehousing and trafficking
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
• Excellent organizational Skills
• Self-motivating
• Teamwork, work closely with and cooperate with others
• Takes initiative, works independently and acts proactively
• Strong problem solving and judgment skills
• Competent computer skills with Microsoft Office
• 2-year Associate degree or 3-5 years’ experience in the logistics industry.
