Role Description The Kitchen and Bath Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Spring Grove, IL. This role includes meeting with clients in the showroom, assessing their needs, and developing functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen and bath designs. The Designer prepares detailed layouts, selects cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, and finishes, and presents design concepts and proposals. Daily responsibilities include creating quotes, coordinating with sales teams, updating project documentation, and ensuring designs meet code requirements and company standards. The Designer also supports customer follow-up, maintains the showroom displays, and contributes to a professional, welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Kitchen & Bath Design, including space planning and product selection
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills for client and contractor consultations and follow-up
- Experience with Sales and consultative selling in a showroom or design/remodeling environment
- Product knowledge of Cabinetry, including styles, construction, and configuration options, countertops, plumbing fixtures, flooring and tile
- Proficiency with 2020 design software and basic computer skills
- Accurate field measurement
- Accurate order placement
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with residential remodeling processes and building codes is beneficial
- Relevant education or certification in interior design, kitchen and bath design, or related field preferred
Requirements:
- Associates or College Degree in interior design or related field (preferred).
- Experience in kitchen and bath design
- Cabinetry knowledge and other design/remodeling materials (countertops, tile, etc.)
- Extremely proficient in 2020 design software
- Strong sales and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable transportation to and from work and to job sites for field measure and consultations
- Able to work 5 days a week. There may be an occasional weekend day to accommodate customer schedules, which will allow for 1 day off during the week
Job Type: Full-Time at showroom location in Spring Grove, IL.
On-site training with manufacturer reps on materials we handle and sell.
