We’re looking for a detail-driven CADD Technician to support our bridge engineering team by transforming design concepts into clear, accurate construction documents. If you enjoy precision, problem-solving, and turning complex ideas into buildable plans, this role sits right in the sweet spot between creativity and engineering reality.
You’ll work alongside engineers, designers, and project teams to help deliver bridge and transportation projects that move communities forward.

You’ll work alongside engineers, designers, and project teams to help deliver bridge and transportation projects that move communities forward.
Job Duties
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for bridge, culvert, and transportation structure projects
- Develop construction plans, details, sections, and quantity sheets
- Revise drawings based on engineer markups, redlines, and design changes
- Maintain drafting standards, file organization, and quality control procedures
- Coordinate plans with roadway, civil, survey, and utility disciplines
- Assist with plan set production for bidding, permitting, and construction
- Utilize CADD software to model structural components and layouts
- Perform quantity takeoffs and drafting-related project support tasks
- Ensure drawings meet client, DOT, and internal standards
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- 2 years of CADD drafting experience in civil, structural, or transportation projects preferred
- Proficiency in Autodesk: civil 3D; Bentley: ORD & Power Geopak or related software
- Understanding of engineering plans, sections, details, and construction documents
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical work week.
- Due to occasional travel a valid driver’s license is required.
- Experience with bridge or transportation structure drafting
- Autodesk: Revit; Bentley: Open Bridge Modeler
- Experience working with DOT standards and transportation agencies
- Knowledge of bridge geometry, reinforcing details, and structural layouts
- Ability to interpret sketches, calculations, and design notes
