Position Summary
The Field Manager is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating traffic control crews, ensuring safe and compliant work zone setups, and completing all required job documentation. This role provides leadership and mentorship to field employees while supporting efficient project execution and maintaining company safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinate and dispatch crews for daily job assignments
- Monitor job sites to ensure traffic control setups comply with safety and MUTCD standards
- Adjust work zones as needed based on traffic patterns and job conditions
- Communicate with crews, scheduling, and management regarding operational updates
- Review and approve field tickets, timesheets, and related paperwork
- Respond to incidents, complete accident documentation, and follow company safety procedures
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees
- Conduct disciplinary actions and provide employee coaching when necessary
- Maintain inventory, equipment accountability, and orderly yard/shop conditions
- Support weekend dispatch rotations as assigned
- Promote a safe, productive, and professional work environment
- ATSSA Certification (TCT/TCS preferred)
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to travel as needed for field operations
This position involves both field and office responsibilities. Frequent travel to job sites may be required, including occasional out-of-state assignments.
