Join our 2 yr old growing Hamptons practice as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Collect and record vital signs, patient histories, and medication information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic tests such as X-ray or phlebotomy.
- Manage medical documentation including medical records, ICD coding, and detailed notes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient intake, and insurance verification to streamline clinic operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support comprehensive patient care across specialties like internal medicine, geriatrics, surgical settings, or trauma centers.
Experience
- Prior medical office experience in outpatient or hospital settings is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential. EMA preferred.
- Knowledge of dermatology, urgent care procedures, or emergency medicine enhances your ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced clinics.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics or those requiring complex medical-surgical care is valued
