Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specialising in Oncology to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans.
- Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments, recognising and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, side effects, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, specialists, and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, treatments administered, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Support emotional well-being of patients through compassionate communication and empathetic support during challenging times.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse qualification recognised within the UK (NMC registration).
- Proven experience in patient care, preferably within an oncology or related clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to oncology nursing practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills for engaging with patients and their families.
