The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, administration, optimization, and security of server, virtualization, and cloud environments. This role ensures system stability, performance, and scalability while supporting both project-based implementations and ongoing operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Deployment
- Design and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall solutions.
- Support site-to-site and client-to-cloud connectivity.
- Configure routing, switching, and network segmentation.
Operations & Support
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Monitor network performance and optimize for reliability.
- Support escalations from the Help Desk and NOC teams.
Security & Compliance
- Implement firewall rules, VPNs, and network security controls.
- Support security audits and remediation efforts.
- Maintain compliance with internal and client security standards.
Documentation & Standards
- Maintain detailed network diagrams and configuration documentation.
- Contribute to network standardization and best practices.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of systems engineering or administration experience
- Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization knowledge
- Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and backup solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and time-management skills
