Drinking Water / Wastewater Business Development Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced Drinking Water / Wastewater Engineer who’s ready to leverage their industry knowledge and professional network in a part-time sales and marketing capacity. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired professional who enjoys building relationships, sharing expertise, and helping municipalities, engineering firms, and industrial clients find effective water and wastewater solutions.What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients in the drinking water and wastewater markets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry connections.
• Provide technical insight and credibility when discussing products or services with clients.
• Attend industry events, association meetings, and professional conferences as needed (reimbursed).
• Collaborate with internal technical and project teams to ensure client needs are understood and met.
• Maintain communication of sales activities and pipeline updates.

Who You Are:

• You have 10 years of experience in water / wastewater engineering, operations, or consulting.
• You understand drinking water and wastewater treatment processes, systems, and technologies.
• You have extensive knowledge of the regulatory and funding environments.
• You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• You are self-motivated with the ability to manage time independently.
• You are familiar with municipalities, utilities, and environmental firms preferred.
