Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth tailored to 2-year-olds
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play with patience and consistency
- Utilize behavior management techniques to guide positive interactions and foster good manners among children
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs or concerns
- Incorporate principles of childhood development and special education strategies to support diverse learners
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental progress and inform lesson planning
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare or early childhood education settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management, and classroom management techniques
- Experience with curriculum development focused on early literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods is preferred
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies to support children with additional needs
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate educational standards while fostering creativity and curiosity
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable
