Job descriptionWe are looking for experienced 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance TechniciansThe Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment. Maintenance Technicians use educated decisions based on equipment knowledge and understanding to solve mechanical and electrical problems. Maintenance Technicians also install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings. This role will keep machines, mechanical and electrical equipment, and the structure of the facilities in repair.RESPONSIBILITIES:Service, repair, adjust and test various machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanic and some electric principles.Acquire and retain knowledge of basic and routine maintenance and repair procedures.Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant facilities i.e. building, floors, walls.Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on refrigeration systems, HVAC, and NH3.Communicate effectively (written and verbally) with team members and operations team on all levels.Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical or electrical operation.Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.Maintain appropriate service and repair records using CMMS.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent.At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably food manufacturing.Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment.Basic Computer Skills.Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.)Proficient using CMMS, preferably L2LAbility to follow all safety guidelinesAttention to detailEnjoys working with tools and determining root causes to eliminate repeat issues.WORK ENVIRONMENT*Temperatures vary throughout the plant, depending on the area and setpoint. *Plant Conditions:35° – 48° F; Humidity.5° F Freezer.Slippery Floors.Protective Clothing Required in Plant:Hard HatSteel Toed ShoesHearing ProtectionJob Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 – 60 per weekSchedule:Day shiftNight shiftWeekends as neededJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.32 - $40.00 per hourBenefits: 401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shiftDay shiftEvery weekend Work Location: In personCompany DescriptionMoments to remember don't just happen, they are made right by the occasion.
