Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Manager to lead our Assembly, Test, and Repair teams in achieving production, quality, and customer delivery objectives. This role is responsible for executing the production plan, ensuring product quality, maintaining a safe work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations.
The Manufacturing Manager will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations leadership to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, meet customer requirements, and are delivered on schedule. A strong commitment to leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement is essential.
This position is located in Newburyport, MA and reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Assembly, Test, and Repair personnel to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
- Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including schedule attainment, labor efficiency, throughput, first-pass yield, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, ISO requirements, and documented manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions, manufacturing improvements, and resolution of production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions, training programs, and workforce development plans.
- Manage manufacturing resources including staffing, equipment utilization, and production capacity planning.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to product quality, customer returns, and manufacturing performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience in an electronics, technical, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing assembly, test, and repair operations.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to, experience, training, and education.
Salary : $123,000 - $164,800
