The job consists of performing cleaning duties in a medical or healthcare setting. Detailed cleaning and disinfecting are required, while having attention to detail and general cleaning responsibilities.1 week of medical training hosted in Appleton, WI Medical scrubs provided
Accountabilities & Expectations
- Perform cleaning tasks up to Kleen Standards. Scope of work provided to inform detailed duties per location.
- Perform to quality & inspection standards which KleenMark provides tools and training support for.
- Work under EHS safety policies and procedures. (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, medical cleaning, reporting incidents, etc.)
- Reports to work each day and on time.
- Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers by maintaining a positive attitude.
- Maintain health requirements in compliance including medical exams and immunizations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Discharge Rooms — Performs full terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge, including disinfecting high-touch surfaces, beds, mattresses, equipment, fixtures, and restrooms to meet hospital infection-control standards.
Patient-Facing Rooms — Cleans and disinfects occupied and unoccupied patient rooms, ensuring proper sanitization of surfaces, furniture, equipment, and restrooms while following patient-care protocols.
Cardiovascular / Infusion / Radiology Areas — Cleans specialized clinical areas, including treatment rooms, imaging rooms, and procedure spaces. Follows department-specific cleaning procedures and infection-prevention guidelines.
Operating Rooms (ORs) — Performs pre- and post-procedure cleaning, including disinfecting surgical tables, lights, equipment, and high-touch surfaces. Assists with terminal cleaning according to strict surgical-suite standards and protocols.
Restrooms | Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.Floors | Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.
Break rooms /Kitchenettes | Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenishes break room supplies.Dust | Dusts furniture, equipment, partitions, etc.Trash | Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.Other Duties | Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner (hip or backpack). Washes walls and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc.
