Position Overview:

Shift Schedule: Parttime - Evenings 5:30 - 8pm (Monday - Friday)
Location: 2301 Everett Street, Richnond VA, 23224
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms to ensure a high standard of hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness in lounges, waiting rooms, lobbies, and other public areas.
- Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, and corridors regularly.
- Ensure windows and glass surfaces are streak-free and clear.
- Pay special attention to high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of germs.
- Empty and dispose of trash according to established procedures.
- Clean and sanitize exam rooms, nursing stations, labs, pharmacies, and clinics.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
- Follow protocols for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials.
- Report maintenance issues or repair needs promptly.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with staff and departments to maintain an efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Experience: Previous janitorial or custodial work, particularly in healthcare sanitation.
- Ideal Experience: 1-2 years of janitorial or custodial experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfection techniques.
- Understanding of infection control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical fitness for demanding tasks and ability to lift 50lbs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Strong active listening skills to follow safety protocols accurately.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Dependable and punctual with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements:
- Compliance with mandatory influenza vaccination policy.
- Documentation of current influenza vaccination is required for all candidates.
