For Term: Through 6/30/26 (1,480 hours) with possible extension, based on excellence in work provided, need and budget availability. “Term" does not mean the awarded contractor or resource are locked in for the full year - any contractor or resource may be terminated for cause, convenience, or funding during the contract term.
ON-SITE POSITION: This is an ON-SITE POSITION, NOT REMOTE. This position will be located at the Tolls Data Center, 7941 Glades Rd., Boca Raton, FL 33434. Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, Eastern Time (ET), excluding State of Florida observed holidays. The hours of work are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Department. Requests for time off or schedule variances must be approved by the Department.
General Characteristics: Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. May make recommendations for buy vs. build decision.
Background Checks: A Level 1 background check is required before a Staff member may start at the Department. In addition, background checks shall be performed on incumbent Staff members whenever the formal renewal process takes place (when a new State Term Contract is in place).
Face to Face Interviews: At the hiring manager’s discretion, interviews may be conducted via Microsoft Teams or in person.
