What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Hire Onboarding Specialist position at Klaviyo?
As a New Hire Onboarding Program Specialist, you will be tasked with helping us onboard new Klaviyos into our onboarding program, which we call Base Camp. Think of Base Camp as a new hire’s first introduction to us as a company, to our culture, and to how things work around here.
In addition to Base Camp, for those Klaviyos that have customer-facing roles or directly work within the Klaviyo platform, we offer Product Training in week 2. A New Hire Onboarding Program Specialist’s job is to ensure that all aspects of Base Camp and Product Training are running smoothly, as well as making incremental improvements to the offerings using Project Management skills, including implementing feedback from our survey data and feedback for both week 1 and week 2 experiences.
As you can imagine, there’s a lot that goes into making amazing employee experiences and that’s where we need YOUR help. As the New Hire Onboarding Program Specialist, you will work on coordinating, presenting and refining the materials that our newest employees are asked to engage with during their first two weeks at the company. In addition, you will also be given a chance to work with several groups of new hires in community building sessions designed to ingrain our company values of positivity, collaboration and curiosity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Facilitate new hire orientation programs. Responsible for delivering core program content, welcoming new employees, leading specific sessions, and answering questions.
- Build out detailed courses and programs in our 360Learning LMS tool in order to inform and engage our employees in their first 2 weeks
- Build, own, and execute dynamic project plans which encompass the complete project lifecycle from concept to evolution.
- Manage your own time across multiple projects; create project plans and communicate status updates
- Serve as a thought leader in Onboarding by staying up-to-date on the latest research and current trends in the space.
- Provide development support via pre-session and post-session feedback to presenters.
- Assess track and analyze the impact of orientation programs leveraging week 1, 30 & 90 day onboarding engagement surveys. Share insights, and develop recommendations for continuous improvement of solutions.
- Engage with cross-functional partners to support preparation, scheduling and delivery of orientation programs and experiences.
- Support the employee experience by coordinating the delivery of branded material to new hires
- Maintain internal documentation and support material used in Base Camp programs and sessions
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to tailor messages to our diverse group of adult learners..
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact effectively and work in partnership with a team focused on helping others.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office or G-Suite tools (Google Docs, Sheets and Slides)
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
