About This Role

Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified Medical Reviewer to assess and review healthcare-related blog posts for our website. The ideal candidate will possess a strong medical background, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex medical concepts in clear and accessible language. The Medical Reviewer will ensure that all content published on our website adheres to the highest standards of accuracy, credibility, and relevance to our audience.

Location: US remote

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review healthcare blog posts submitted by writers and content creators to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with medical guidelines and standards.
  2. Verify medical information, statistics, and references cited within blog posts for accuracy and reliability.
  3. Assess the clarity and accessibility of medical terminology and concepts used in blog posts, making suggestions for improvement as needed.
  4. Collaborate with writers, editors, and other stakeholders to address any medical inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or gaps in content.
  5. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers on how to improve the accuracy and quality of their medical content.
  6. Stay informed about the latest developments, research findings, and best practices in relevant medical fields to ensure content remains current and up-to-date.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive medical information and patient data.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  1. Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
  2. Board certification in a medical specialty preferred (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, etc.).
  3. Strong background in clinical medicine and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, concepts, and practices.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in clear, understandable language.
  5. Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to fact-checking and verifying medical information.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  7. Familiarity with medical research methodologies, evidence-based medicine, and peer-reviewed literature.
  8. Prior experience in medical writing, editing, or reviewing medical content preferred.
  9. Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for communication, document review, and collaboration.
