The Head Coach will be respsonsible for:
- Instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport of volleyball.
- Overseeing, guiding and directing entire Mazama Volleyball program
- Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
- Assesses player’s skills, monitors players during competition and practice.
- Determines game strategy.
- Supervises athletes during practices and competition.
- Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
- Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials,
- and spectators.
- Maintains the equipment and facilities and assumes responsibility for its
- security.
- Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students.
- Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep
- assemblies.
- Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
- Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
- Reports directly to the athletic director and school principal.
- Develops lines of communication and support between youth programs.
- Thorough understanding and application of district, league and state policies and procedures pertaining to athletics.
- May be required to obtain a type 20 activity bus certification.
