Start time -5-5:30 am

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Under general direction from the Director of Customer Service, this role is responsible for the customer service and transportation customer service functions of fleet operations to ensure the efficient and effective movement of our customers' products. As Transportation CSR’s, the primary focus will be on providing administration support to the operations team by improving processes and procedures throughout the transportation operation. Must have a positive outlook and have the ability to multi-task. Communicates work assignments to drivers and is responsible to monitor and verify the successful completion of the assignments. Must document driver work assignments on computer and other reports for proper billing, payroll systems and procedures. Monitor drivers on a day-to-day basis and respond to customer requests while following CLC, state and Federal requirements by performing the below essential duties.

This position must be flexible to cover operations, as needed. Ensures employee and customer satisfaction and reinforces that drivers are the Company’s most valuable asset is critical and a primary responsibility of this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – (Other duties may be assigned as needed.)

Transportation Customer Service Operations: 75%

1. Learn all appropriate computer system(s) including, but not limited to Innovative.

2. Assign drivers to open loads.

3. Responsible to track driver hours of service to insure the safe and timely delivery of customer freight while working within the guidelines established by the DOT and FMCSA.

4. Monitor drivers’ performance, record and report any non-compliance, late deliveries, etc.

5. Maintain and clean up TMW systems with up to date information.

6. Fix common daily issues/errors/ problems in the system.

7. Follow all CLC policies and procedures.

8. Work with Operations and Safety to assist in communicating needs, safety information, participate in accident investigations, improvement of log compliance, hard-breaking events etc.

Recordkeeping 25%

1. Documents driver work assignments on computer and other reports for proper billing and payroll systems and procedures.

2. Data entry to ensure shipment information entered is covered, managed accurately and timely throughout each stage of the dispatch process.

3. Utilize trade specific software efficiently and effectively.

4. Responsible for receiving loads and processing paperwork.

5. Prepares and reconcile daily trip sheets and load sheets.

6. Demonstrates safety consciousness at all times and reports safety questions/concerns.

7. Maintains a clean working environment.

8. Ensures the expectation and needs of the customer are being met and communicate or escalate any issues.

9. Understands and supports staffing and call-offs based on total operational needs. Includes vacation and holiday planning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Regulations as they pertain to Commercial Truck Drivers. EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the Transportation Industry (Knowledge of trucking industry, load assignment, DOT and FMCSA laws, and customer interaction). Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
