What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician position at KKS Automotive?
AML Ford of Prince George is hiring a Service Technician. This is a technical role — you should be confident in your abilities and comfortable with digital MPIs/Videos or at least be willing to learn to perform these tasks. Work will consist of B and C level work with the opportunity to grow and hone your skills towards higher level repairs.
What We Offer
· $20.00 to $45.00 per flag hour, based on certification, experience, and proven diagnostic ability
· Production bonus of $1.00 to $4.00 per hour on top of your flag rate, based on hours produced each pay period
· Semi-monthly pay — flag hour compensation paid on the 15th and the last day of each month
· Steady, well-dispatched work at a full-size Ford store with a separate Quick Lane.
· Paid manufacturer training and travel time at your full hourly rate
· A shop foreman and production manager on the floor to keep you turning hours, not chasing parts
· Medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, and direct deposit
· Late-model Ford diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, and current technical resources
What You Will Do
· Diagnose driveability, electrical, network, and intermittent concerns that other technicians have not been able to resolve
· Perform complex repairs on Ford cars, trucks, and Super Duty, including engine, transmission, HVAC, and advanced electrical work
· Handle warranty, field service action, and recall diagnostics in accordance with Ford requirements
· Document concern, cause, and correction clearly and completely on every repair order
· Complete a thorough digital multipoint inspection on every vehicle, with clear photo and video documentation so advisors can present accurate recommendations
· Road test vehicles to verify concerns and confirm repairs before delivery
· Communicate findings to service advisors and the shop foreman so customers get accurate estimates the first time
What We Are Looking For
· Ford certification strongly preferred — Senior Master or STST ideal; we will help the right candidate finish certifications
· Five or more years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience
· A production mindset — you manage your time, keep your bay moving, and take pride in the hours you turn
· Experience with a digital multipoint inspection tool
· Proven ability to diagnose electrical, network, and intermittent concerns efficiently and correctly the first time
· Skilled with factory scan tools, wiring diagrams, oscilloscopes, and manufacturer technical resources
· Your own set of tools
