Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion looks.
- Apply hair color using advanced techniques rooted in color theory to achieve vibrant, personalized results.
- Install and customize hair extensions for added length and volume, ensuring seamless blends.
- Conduct hair treatments such as smoothing, deep conditioning, and scalp care to promote healthy hair.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling opportunities.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and ensuring a clean work environment at all times.
- Offer additional beauty services including eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction.
- Manage front desk duties such as greeting clients, answering inquiries, and coordinating appointments seamlessly.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in barbering, cosmetology practices, and customer service excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience as a hairstylist or barber with proficiency in hair styling, coloring, and extensions.
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail management.
- Strong understanding of color theory principles to create customized color treatments.
- Skilled in sanitation practices adhering to health regulations for safe salon operations.
- Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair treatments.
- Familiarity with advanced services like eyelash extensions and makeup application is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and foster long-term relationships.
