Job Summary
KJS Construction, LLC located in Grafton, WI is family owned and operated since 2016. Specializing in interior and exterior residential remodeling, with some light commercial remodeling. We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile candidate to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of construction/carpentry tasks with precision and professionalism. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about craftsmanship and quality.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, flooring and roofing with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, assemble, and install materials such as wood, metal and drywall.
- Execute fixture installation including lighting fixtures, cabinetry hardware, plumbing fixtures, and other structural components.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high quality standards.
- Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license required.
Experience
- 3-5 years experience as a carpenter, preferably in a residential setting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with carpentry disciplines such as frame carpentry, finish carpentry (trim work), cabinet installation, door hanging, siding application and floor installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, detailed construction plans and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods and building codes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining compliance with safety standards such as power tool safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing physically demanding tasks across diverse project sites.
- Prior work in the remodeling industry is preferred; candidates should have a strong understanding of the unique requirements involved in these sectors.
