We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work on a variety of equipment and facilities. This includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of safety protocols and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breakers panels, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems.
- Inspect, test, and adjust machines to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the best method of repair.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities.
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed.
Skills
- HVAC CERTIFICATION IS A PLUS
- PLUMBING SKILLS
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Knowledge of general mainenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with willingness to work overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.
