Job Type: Full-Time
Regular Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
Pay: $18.00 per hour

About the Position
Kiwi’s Custom Guns, Inc. is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Firearm & Range Sales Associate.
The ideal candidate has experience with firearms, enjoys helping customers select products that fit their individual shooting or hunting needs, and is willing to learn and contribute as part of a team.
This position combines firearm and accessory sales, range customer service, compliance paperwork, inventory support, and general retail responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Ask questions and listen carefully to understand each customer’s needs and experience level.
- Help customers select appropriate firearms, ammunition, accessories, and related products.
- Recommend complementary products based on the customer’s intended use and needs.
- Accurately complete and review required state and federal firearm transaction paperwork.
- Maintain current knowledge of firearms, accessories, shooting sports, industry products, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Check customers into the shooting range and assign lanes.
- Inspect firearms and ammunition for compliance with range rules.
- Monitor range cameras and assist range customers as needed.
- Explain and consistently enforce store and range safety policies.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming merchandise.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
- Maintain organized and well-stocked merchandise displays.
- Notify management of customer requests, inventory needs, and missed sales opportunities.
- Work with other team members to resolve customer questions or concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the retail store, range lobby, glass display cases, floors, and public restroom.
- Follow established company procedures and management direction.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid California Certificate of Eligibility.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain the Wednesday–Sunday schedule.
- Genuine interest in firearms, shooting sports, hunting, or related products.
- Willingness to continually learn about firearms, accessories, laws, and industry products.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when completing regulated paperwork.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to remain professional and accurate in a busy environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and applicable holidays based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern sporting and tactical firearms.
- Previous retail or customer-service experience.
- Experience using a retail point-of-sale system.
- Familiarity with California firearm laws and firearm transaction procedures.
A genuine interest in firearms, excellent customer service, safety, accuracy, and continued learning is essential for success in this position.
