Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Child Care Teaching Assistant located in Huntington WV. The Child Care Teaching Assistant will assist lead instructors in implementing educational activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children. Responsibilities include engaging with children during learning and play activities, supporting their educational development, and fostering social and emotional growth. The role also involves helping maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, as well as ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in Assistant Teaching and education-related activities is preferred.
- Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and other staff members.
- Experience and skills in Working With Children, with a focus on fostering their development in a nurturing environment is preferred.
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for creating an engaging and safe learning space for children.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction effectively.
