Room Attendant (KIV)

Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests at the Comfort Inn & Suites. This position plays a key role in maintaining guest satisfaction and hotel cleanliness standard

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to hotel Standard Operating Procedures

(SOP) and brand standards.

• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and clean all assigned areas thoroughly.
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
• Ensure rooms are properly stocked with guest supplies and amenities.
• Report any damaged items or maintenance issues immediately.

Public Area Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobby areas, stairwells, elevators, and other public spaces as assigned.
• Remove trash and replace liners in guest rooms and public areas.
• Keep housekeeping carts organized and properly stocked.

Guest Service

• Respond politely and professionally to guest requests and questions.
• Provide excellent customer service while respecting guest privacy and confidentiality.
• Report lost and found items according to hotel procedures.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow hotel safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions.
• Report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or accidents immediately.
• Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Teamwork & Productivity

• Complete assigned rooms and tasks within established timeframes (minutes per room).
• Communicate effectively with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Desk, and Maintenance staff.
• Assist with laundry or additional housekeeping or other duties when needed or as

required by management.

• Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment
This position works primarily in Rooms and other areas with frequent interaction with
guests and hotel staff in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
