Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a Training Systems Specialist with five (5) or more years of experience to work in the Dahlgren, Virginia area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and evaluate Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs), training schedules, Planning Process Methodology (PPM) documents, and Navy Enlisted Occupational Classification (NEOCS) data
- Apply Navy instructional systems design methodologies, including Business Case Analysis (BCA), Front End Analysis (FEA), and Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), to support curriculum development and updates
- Analyze change recommendations and determine impacts on system readiness, training effectiveness, and end-user functionality for both U.S. Navy (USN) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
- Provide SME-level support for Curriculum Planning Module (CPM) and LEAD authoring tools to Learning Standards Officers (LSOs) within the SCSTC domain
- Develop training aids and instructional materials to support curriculum development and tool usage
- Deliver virtual and/or in-person training sessions on curriculum development processes and authoring tools
- Guide LSOs in updating, maintaining, and converting existing curriculum between authoring tools (e.g., AIM, CPM, LEAD)
- Coordinate with SCSTC Headquarters to track and report the status of course conversions and curriculum modernization efforts
- Ensure training products comply with applicable Navy policies, standards, and instructional design best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience reviewing and supporting Navy training schedules, NTSPs, Planning Process Methodology documents, and the Navy Enlisted Occupational Classification System
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Business Case Analysis (BCA), Front End Analysis (FEA), and Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA) in curriculum development
- Proven experience analyzing training system changes and assessing impacts to system readiness and user functionality for USN and FMS training programs
- Experience supporting military training development environments
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education or a related field
- Experience developing curriculum for military training courses (Navy experience preferred but not required)
- Hands-on experience with one or more military curriculum authoring tools such as AIM I/II, CPM, LEAD, or similar systems
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new training development tools and processes
- Experience delivering training or instruction to adult learners in virtual and/or in-person settings
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
