Kitty Brew Cat Cafe in Mason, OH is where cat lovers coffee enthusiasts come for a unique, one of a kind experience. We are currently on the search for a Cleaner/Lounge Attendant to add to our crew.
We are seeking someone with enthusiasm for animal welfare and dedication to cleanliness who can create a welcoming environment for both our feline residents and our human guests. In this role, you will ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of cats in our lounge while maintaining a spotless, organized space. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will help foster a relaxing and fun atmosphere for our guests.
Being around cats all day is definitely a perk— but this is a physical demanding job, as we have a rigorous daily cleaning schedule. Having the ability to be fast yet thorough and efficient at the same time is an absolute must. The willingness to engage with guests of all ages is also required.
This is a part-time position with the need for flexibility in scheduling— including mornings, evenings and weekends (we are closed on Tuesdays). This position starts at $13.00 per hour. Duties
- Greet visitors warmly and provide excellent customer service, answering questions about our feline residents and lounge policies
- Monitor the cats’ behavior, ensuring their safety and comfort through gentle animal handling and restraint when necessary
- Clean and sanitize all lounge areas, including litter boxes, food bowls, laundry, furniture, and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Restock supplies like litter, food, toys, and cleaning products to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support animal care by observing cats’ health status, reporting any concerns to management promptly
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or furniture safely within the lounge
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a position that required daily deep cleaning/sanitizing tasks is essential.
- Prior experience with animal handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with visitors of all ages
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout your shift
- A proactive attitude with a passion for animals and creating positive experiences for both cats and guests
