Application Requirements & Essential Functions for Firearm Records Clerks:
- Qualified Firearm Records Clerk candidates must be twenty-one years of age or older, be able to pass a standard background check
- Strong computer skills; including a working knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Help customers understand and complete the Federal 4473 background check form
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and other business contacts
- An attention to detail is critical with a strong ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm as a Firearm Records Clerk
- This position starts as a seasonal status but does have the potential to turn into a year-round employment
General Summary:
Firearm Records Clerks are responsible for assisting in the process of submitting NICS checks through regulated channels, contacting vendors for shopping and repair related matters, and maintaining daily paperwork for the department. You will work closely with the firearms sales associates, departmental managers, shipping entities, and training coordinator to ensure accuracy in all stored files as a Firearm Records Clerk. Data entry skills and confidentiality are a must.
Qualified candidates must be available to work Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
