Application Requirements & Essential Functions for Camping Sales Associates:
- Should possess strong interpersonal and/or customer service skills
- Should demonstrate an ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Should have basic computer skills, and a working knowledge of windows
- Should have previous experience dealing with the public in a fast paced environment
- Should have strong mathematical skills
- Retail sales associates must demonstrate professional customer assistance through awareness and a friendly courteous approach, with follow through
- Must demonstrate an aptitude for learning product and store knowledge, using, but not limited to: Vendor clinics, training programs, employee communication and written materials
- Must demonstrate the ability to research problems and problem solve
- Must demonstrate correct usage of the telephone, computer, pricing equipment and proper completion of all paperwork
- Initiative and drive in performance of duties. Showing a willingness to follow directions with a positive attitude
- Maintain the neatness, cleanliness and integrity of all merchandise, and the working environment
- Must be sixteen years of age or older
General Summary:
Camping Sales Associates assist customers as they shop within our store. Camping Sales Associates must greet customers, answer questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locate items. Sales Associates must keep the sales floor tidy and well-stocked. Sales associates report directly to the camping/specialty sports assistant managers. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualified candidates must be available to work Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-6pm, Wednesday 11am-7pm
