The Kittery School District is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist to join our dedicated Special Services team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social growth of our students through assessment, collaboration, and intervention.
Position responsibilities include;
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for services.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop individualized supports and evidence-based interventions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs.
• Support student mental health, behavioral interventions, and positive school climate initiatives. • Provide consultation, training, and crisis response services to staff and students.
The ideal candidate will have experience with psychoeducational testing, behavioral supports and evidence-based interventions. Additionally, they will have a strong understanding of special education law and in general the IEP process.
Candidates must submit to a Criminal History Record Check through the Maine Department of Education.
