As an intern with Kitsap County Public Works -- Capital Facilities Division, you will:
- **Conduct Document Research and Review**: Analyze current maintenance procedures, APWA accreditation standards, existing SOPs, and preventative maintenance guidelines to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- **Conduct Staff Interviews & Operational Discovery**: Engage with maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and supervisors to gather institutional knowledge and better understand current operational workflows.
- **Develop SOPs & Operational Protocols**: Assist in drafting and refining SOPs for daily operations, preventative maintenance planning, emergency response protocols, vendor coordination, and work order management procedures.
- **Support CMMS Integration**: Contribute to the implementation of the department's new Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), helping document workflows and creating user guides for staff.
- **Assist in Staff Training & Communication Support**: Develop training materials, visual guides, and procedure summaries to help staff understand and implement the new processes being documented.
