Kitsap County Sheriff's Office values the wellness of our Corrections staff. We offer a work schedule that consists of 10 hr. 40 minute shifts, which consists of workweeks that are 5 days on/4 days off two weeks in a row, and then 5 days on/5 days off the third week.
*There is no COVID-19 vaccination requirement to work as a corrections officer with the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

Application Process
Applying for the entry level KCSO law enforcement position starts with a valid Public Safety Testing (PST) Law Enforcement Exam (www.publicsafetytesting.com). Here are the steps to get started:
- Visit the PST website and choose your career path (Corrections).
- Select Kitsap County as one of the agencies you are interested in. Please note: Per Public Safety if an agency opens up a new position within 180 days of a candidate's test date, that candidate has 90 days from the date of the opening to make their scores available to the agency with the new opening
- Review and agree to the required qualifications to join our team.
- Select a date and time for your Law Enforcement Exam
- Create an applicant profile. Filling out your profile ensures that agencies have the information required for the hiring process.
- Take your test. Be prepared to succeed when you arrive at your test location.
- Base Salary $68,681.60 - $97,073.60
- Eff. January 1, 2027 – the salary schedule shall be increased by 100% of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue CPI-U, June 2025 to June 2026, with a minimum of 2.5% and a maximum of 4%.
- Eff. January 1, 2028 – the salary schedule shall be increased by 100% of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue CPI-U, June 2026 to June 2027, with a minimum of 2.5% and a maximum of 4%.
- Longevity pay
- Language pay (2%) for certified bilingual capability in approved languages
- Education Incentive (AA = 1%, BA/BS = 2%)

Salary : $68,682 - $97,074
