Litigation Associate Attorney

Kitroser Lewis & Mighdoll
North Palm Beach, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 12/12/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/8/2026

Kitroser Lewis & Mighdoll, a respected boutique law firm headquartered in North Palm Beach, is seeking a proactive and motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing Litigation Team. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled early- to mid-career attorney to work alongside senior attorneys and paralegals on complex civil litigation matters such as probate and trust litigation, contested guardianship cases, and elder financial exploitation claims.

You’ll receive active mentorship, participate in courtroom proceedings, and contribute meaningfully to client strategy and case development from day one. While the focus of this role is on litigation, you will also encounter and collaborate on routine legal matters that overlap with the firm’s core practice areas, including Estate Planning, Guardianship and Probate and Trust Administration, gaining a well-rounded perspective that enhances your effectiveness as a litigator and your impact within the community.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about advocacy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in both Palm Beach and Martin County. They are a strong legal writer, a self-starter, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment without the need for micromanagement. This position is well-suited for someone who values mentorship and growth while also demonstrating initiative and ownership over their caseload.

While prior experience in estate planning, trust administration, or guardianship law is preferred, it is not required. We are committed to providing the training, resources, and mentorship needed for the right candidate to thrive. This position offers a clear path to increased responsibility, autonomy, and leadership within the litigation team, with future opportunities for partnership consideration based on demonstrated performance and long-term commitment to the firm’s growth and values.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Billable Hour Requirement (Annual): 1,600–1,800 hours (subject to adjustment based on workload and firm needs)

• Draft memoranda, pleadings, and discovery documents

• Conduct legal research and prepare internal summaries or recommendations using Westlaw and LexisNexis

• Attend depositions, court hearings, mediations, and trials in-person or remotely via video conferencing (with or without senior counsel, depending on experience)

• Actively participate in conferences as needed with litigation team members to discuss and develop case strategies

• Assist and conduct e-filing of pleadings in state court (Florida ePortal) and ensure compliance with procedural rules

• Ensure case deadlines are tracked and met in adherence to calendaring and scheduling protocols

• Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner

• Support Senior Attorneys and Paralegals across various litigation and administrative tasks

• Maintain case management reports and client communication logs to ensure proper tracking

• Assist with drafting estate planning documents and reviewing probate/trust administration files, as needed, to provide cross-practice support

• Stay informed on applicable local, state and federal laws
