About the Role
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/ FUNCTIONS
- Dispose of hazardous waste according to policy
- Mask and/or tape circuit boards in areas that are to be free of conformal coating.
- Inspect assemblies to ensure proper coating coverage.
- Paint prepared surfaces with specified amounts of coatings according to directions
- Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using viscometers.
- Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints.
- Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards and adjust, as necessary.
- Examine, measure, weigh, or test sample products to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Use brush to hand-paint areas in need of retouching or unreachable with a spray gun.
- Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines.
- Operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating or painting processes.
- Record operational data on specified forms.
- Operate lifting or moving devices to move equipment or materials to access areas to be painted.
- Adjust controls on infrared ovens, heat lamps, portable ventilators, or exhaust units to speed the drying of surfaces between coats.
- Maintain the coating and dispensing machines to ensure proper operating condition.
- Remove any excess coating and perform manual touch-up on areas the manual coating and the machine process may have missed to ensure boards maintain a consistent high quality.
- Safely and securely transport circuit board racks from one destination to another to eliminate delays in the manufacturing process and production workflow.
- Clean equipment & work area.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ KSA
- High School Diploma/GED
- Complete required Specific Function Training courses
- Ability to work the 9/80 schedule
- Ability to wear PPE, use paint brushes, paint robots, paint sprayers, air compresors, air exhausters, & Atomizers
- Ability to perform general housekeeping duties and sustain a safe & clean working environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with or knowledge of various materials use for coating
- 1 Years’ Experience in Manufacturing using painting or coating tools

Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
