About the Role
This hybrid role involves managing employee records, assisting with payroll processing, and performing general administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, discreet, and capable of taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
Payroll Administration
- Oversee accurate and timely preparation and processing of payroll
- Ensure accuracy of all payroll deductions
- Calculate salary adjustments, bonuses, and deductions
- Stay up to date on current payroll laws/regulations and ensure compliance
- Liaise with third-party providers
- Assist with employee reimbursement benefits
Human Resources Support
- Maintain and update employee records
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
- Support HR projects, training sessions, and meetings
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and internal policies
- Accurately track all training requirements and completions
- Oversee submission of state training reimbursement requests
- Submit initial response to unemployment requests
- Collaborate with HR team on administration of benefits and open enrollment
- Assist in preparation of annual government reports (i.e., ACA, EEO, VETS)
General Administrative Duties
- Schedule travel arrangements, order lunches, and greet visitors
- Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up action items
- Manage office communications and correspondence
- Prepare and/or run reports with accuracy
- Organize and maintain filing systems
- Order office supplies and manage inventory
- Support finance team with invoice tracking
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including occasional off-site errands such as delivering documents, picking up supplies, or coordinating vendor services.
- Anticipate needs and proactively address issues before they arise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience in HR or payroll administration
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and labor laws
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience with Paycor or similar HRIS
- Knowledge of benefits administration and compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
