Job Summary:

Kite Realty Group is seeking a strategic, analytically rigorous, and polished professional to serve as Director of Capital Markets & Investor Relations. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, investments, and external communications, helping shape the Company’s dialogue with the investment community while supporting capital markets activity, investment underwriting, and broader strategic initiatives.

The Director will play an important role in communicating Kite’s strategy, financial performance, and investment proposition to investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other stakeholders. This individual will also help pilot the Company’s corporate financial model and translate complex financial, operational, and portfolio information into clear, compelling messaging for senior leadership, the Board of Trustees, and Board committees.

Job Responsibilities:

Investor Relations & Communications

  • Support Kite’s investor relations strategy and help communicate the Company’s business, strategy, and long-term value proposition to the investment community.
  • Prepare earnings materials, investor presentations, scripts, talking points, Q&A, and other external communications.
  • Help craft a clear and consistent narrative around portfolio performance, capital allocation, investment activity, and growth.
  • Monitor analyst reports and models, investor feedback, valuation trends, and market sentiment, and synthesize key insights for senior leadership.
  • Become primary point of contact for buy and sell side constituents
  • Support investor meetings, conference participation, and other shareholder engagement opportunities.

Capital Markets & Investments

  • Support debt and equity capital markets activities, financing analysis, lender and rating agency engagement, and capital structure planning.
  • Partner with the investments team to support underwriting and analysis for acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Assist in evaluating capital allocation opportunities in light of market conditions, liquidity needs, leverage targets, and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor REIT valuation trends, interest rates, peer activity, and capital markets developments to inform recommendations and decision-making.

Strategic Finance & Board Support

  • Help pilot and maintain the Company’s corporate financial model, including scenario analysis tied to capital allocation, investment activity, financing decisions, and earnings outlook.
  • Prepare high-quality analyses, presentations, and materials for senior leadership, the Board of Trustees, and Board committees.
  • Help develop thoughtful, well-structured Board and committee materials that clearly present key issues, recommendations, and supporting analysis.
  • Partner across finance, accounting, investments, leasing, and operations to ensure messaging and materials are accurate, insightful, and decision-oriented.
  • Contribute to special projects related to corporate strategy, portfolio optimization, and capital allocation.
Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related field required.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in investor relations, capital markets, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, or real estate finance.
  • Strong understanding of valuation, capital structure, financial markets, and public company communications.
  • Real estate and/or REIT experience preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, underwriting, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to turn complex information into clear, compelling, and credible messaging.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, attention to detail, and executive presence.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.

Salary:  Hiring Salary Range of $150,000 - $180,000 in addition to being eligible for our short-term (cash bonus) and long-term (equity grants) incentive plans. The total compensation package to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
