Role Description The Kitchen and Bath Designer will be responsible for meeting with clients to understand their needs, style preferences, and functional requirements, then translating these into detailed design concepts. Day-to-day tasks include creating layout plans and 3D renderings, selecting materials and finishes, and designing cabinetry and storage solutions that optimize space and usability. The designer will collaborate with the sales and installation teams to prepare proposals, confirm measurements, and ensure designs are executed accurately and on schedule. This role also includes maintaining strong client communication, providing design consultations in the showroom, and supporting the selection of countertops, flooring, fixtures, and accessories. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ocean City, MD.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Kitchen & Bath Design, including space planning, layout creation, and material/finish selection.
- Cabinetry design skills with the ability to create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and customized storage solutions.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to guide clients through the design process and explain options clearly.
- Sales experience related to design services or home remodeling, including preparing proposals and supporting closing of projects.
- Experience with design software (e.g., CAD or kitchen/bath design tools) and basic computer literacy.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in a showroom and residential environments, including occasional client home visits.
- Preferred: Prior experience in residential interior design, remodeling, or a related field; relevant certification or coursework in interior or kitchen/bath design.
