Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements to enhance flavor profiles and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, mixers, and fryers
- Maintain strict food safety standards in all aspects of food handling, storage, and preparation
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances through regular cleaning routines
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service
- Follow food safety management protocols and adhere to health regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
- Knowledge of food industry standards for safety, sanitation, and quality control
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate smoothly with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams

Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
