What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer position at Kitchell Contractors?
Kitchell seeks a skilled Laborer tojoin our growing Arizona region and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States. The Construction Field Laborer will be responsible for carrying and loading materials, tools, and equipment as directed. This position is for the Cottonwood area. A qualified candidate would live in Cottonwood, the North Phoenix, Prescott, or Northern Arizona areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweep and clean areas of the construction site.
- General housekeeping during construction, which includes but is not limited to the removal of waste, clearing pathways, and movement of materials as needed.
- Watering the site to mitigate dust concerns.
- Manning Lifts as needed to ensure the movement of personnel.
- Act as a spotter for Lifts on-site as needed.
- Manning the Gate to allow material deliveries, to prevent public access, and as needed to ensure a safe, secure site.
- Traffic Control to assist vehicles in finding authorized entrances, exits, parking areas, and loading and unloading zones.
- Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Assistance helps build and maintain the ICRA structures.
- Trenching is needed to assist the trades in installing the required electrical or plumbing. Generally, trenches are dug by machine; there is a need to clean out the spill by hand.
- Operate a forklift as needed. If needed, Kitchell will train the individual on the operation of a forklift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
