What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hybrid Event Coordinator & Retail Associate position at KITCH Meals?
Overview
KITCH Meals is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable person to step into our dual Retail & Event Coordinator role. You'll work across our Overland Park, Prairie Village, and Lenexa locations, engaging with the communities around each store. This is currently a hybrid role, so you'll work retail shifts as needed, but there is potential for those who take initiative to grow this into a full-time Event Coordinator position.
As the Event Coordinator, you'll be the primary face of our business out in the community, building relationships with other local businesses and gyms to book events.
Duties
- Work scheduled retail shifts providing excellent customer service and completing daily store tasks and operations.
- Reach out to corporate offices, gyms, and wellness partners to build relationships and book catering, meal drop-offs, and events.
- Plan and execute KITCH events like grand openings, community tastings, and promos
- Keep the event kit stocked and organized.
- Manage event budgets and supply needs (Marketing and sampling supplies) when applicable.
- Lead transportation, setup, and breakdown for events, and communicate with the manager if extra staffing is needed
- Track outreach and event bookings, reporting progress and results
- Coordinate with the GM and Chef's team on event menus, quantities, and timing
- Provide excellent customer service to both retail customers and event clients
- Gather feedback after events to improve future planning
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple things at once without dropping the ball
- Able to communicate professionally when reaching out to businesses, whether by call, email, or in person, and with customers, partners, and team members day to day
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for partner visits and events
- Able to work some evenings/weekends for events as needed
