Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our night shift manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background directing and supervising shift production operations with overall responsibilities for safety, quality, delivery, and cost to meet designated production schedules.
In a fast-paced production environment, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs.
This is a salary exempt position that is paid bi-weekly; supervising overnight production working 12 hour shifts (7 pm - 7 am) on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Duties
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet changing demands.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the manufacturing facility.
- Participates in plant management meetings and conduct weekly meetings with employees to review shift and personal performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output levels and quality control measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts, hand tools, and power tools is essential.
- Previous experience working on an assembly line or in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to team members and management.
