We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Engineer (EIT in Civil Engineering preferred) to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in both independent and team-oriented environments and brings strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (overtime as needed)
Key Responsibilities:
Project Design
· Design, review, and verify project drawings and documentation for manufacturing use
· Prepare plan views, elevations, and detailed technical drawings
· Specify materials and procedures for production
· Conduct periodic audits on the production floor to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
Standards Compliance
· Apply industry and company standards to produce accurate and consistent documentation
· Support product development, equipment layouts, and capital improvement initiatives
CADD Systems
· Utilize company-provided CADD software to create precise and detailed drawings
Drafting Techniques
· Apply fundamental drafting principles to clearly communicate engineering concepts
Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Strong math, computer, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure (assessment will be conducted during the interview)
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred), OR
· Associate Degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience, OR
· Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certifications:
· Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
Additional Requirements
· Must be local to or able to commute to Lockport, NY
