Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS or ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction from arrival to departure
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize table turnover
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, adhere to sanitation standards, and follow proper food safety procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems including toast POS, experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous; culinary or kitchen experience is a bonus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing
